Step One: Submit an application.
In order to start your journey for a Charlou Lane puppy you
will need to submit a puppy application form by clicking
Once you have submitted your application, we will organise a
phone interview with you to have a further conversation about what you have in
mind for your future puppy and to tell us abit more about yourself.
Step Two: Receive approval. After we have reviewed your application and we have
concluded a phone interview with you please wait to hear back from us via email
about your application status.
Step Three: Waiting. Now comes the hardest part of all…...WAITING!
Although we may have a
general idea of litters that will be bred throughout the year, there are several
things that we just can’t predict until the litter has arrived such as successful
pregnancies, litter size and gender ratios. For those reasons we don't take a deposit until pups are born.
After looking all over the place for the right breeder for us, my partner and I knew that Leah
and her family at Charlou Lane would be the perfect fit. We both really enjoyed the weekly
updates throughout the waiting period, as well as the constant communication through the
process. Having Leah very active to connect to whether a phone call or text message made
getting Dash and ourselves organised so much easier.
Dash came to us on a flight which Leah was able to organise with no stresses at all. On
arrival was a very well-mannered, calm yet goof ball of a dog. We could not have asked for a
better puppy for our family. To see Dash’s growth whilst with his litter and while he has
been with us has brought us pure joy and it’s a full credit to Leah for the work she has put in
with the whole litter.
Dash is one of the kindest souls we have ever seen and can bring joy to anyone, anywhere.
We would like to personally thank Leah for her dedication and love she had showed Dash
before sending him on his way to us. We will remain in contact with Leah and keep her
updated on the progress he is showing. We could not have asked for a better experience.

From the minute I first spoke with Leah, we knew she was the right breeder for us! She is incredibly passionate about breeding healthy and happy puppies, and her commitment to understanding their temperaments and matching the right puppy to the right home blew us away!
She sent us regular updates with lots of photos and information on how the puppies were doing, and all the ways she was helping them to be comfortable and thrive in their new environments. Her dedication to the puppies in those first 8 weeks was incredible!
Together with Leah’s guidance we selected Mali as the right puppy for us, and now that we have her home we are constantly amazed by her sweet natured personality, intelligence and calm temperament. The puppy pack that Leah sent home with us was also really useful as part of her transition. The nighttime companion toy with the beating heart, and the blanket from her bed really helped her to settle into her new home.
Mali is now 11 weeks old and absolutely thriving! She sleeps like a baby (on her back just like her dad Toby!) and is toilet training like a pro! We’ve also just started puppy school and she loves meeting all the other pups, whilst we learn lots of good training tips. Leah still regularly checks in and has been so helpful with advice around sleeping and feeding.

I did a lot of searching for the right breeder for my forever puppy.
I found Leah and her beautiful dogs and spoke at length with her about the process. She had a real point of difference to a lot of other breeders. It was clear she was investing a lot of time and research into raising the best the puppies. Leah wanted to ensure the puppies were the best versions of themselves with training from an early age. She kept me updated regularly with photos and would list behaviour traits that we could prepare for. She let us know what kind of temperament our puppy may have. Leah set us up so well, with so much important information. We received a pack from her with toys, lick mats, and even a blanket in a zip lock bag that had Wilbur's mum and siblings scent on it for home time. It was all these little details that made all the difference. Our entire experience was extremely positive and we have an adorable little boy who is very smart, cheeky, playful and an absolute sweet heart.

I really enjoyed the continuous communication throughout the process, being updated on the puppies progress as they grow up made me feel like I had been with Barrel since day 1.
Also as a first time dog owner, it was great to be able to ask for advice on how to handle a few things, which takes away a bit of stress, also the puppy pack definitely made the first few days easier too and gave me a good timeline for vet visits.
Barrel settled in really quickly, he was quiet at first and took his time adjusting to his new environment initially and within a few days we got to see the cheeky pest come to life. Now he absolutely loves seeing people around the house and will follow me around everywhere like a shadow.
